TV Pecs Internet TV
Our channel provides a 24-hour, regularly updated, continous flow of programmes every day.
Our reception area includes nearly the whole territory of P?cs plus the neighbouring towns and villages (the transmitter tower is located in Reménypuszta).
Frequency: UHF 46
P?cs TV was established in 1998 as a legal successor of Mecsek TV, it inherited the technical apparatus of the Local Television (Városi Televízió) and was named Pécs TV Supplier Ltd. The first day of broadcast was 1 October 1998.
Currently we broadcast news every two hours, these fitting into the same flow of programmes represent the latest pieces of information continously.
In Hungary Pécs TV was the first introducing the so-called info-tv structure of programmes, which facilitates transmitting even the latest pieces of information by creating more information surface on the screen. On our Info TV surface, cinema programmes are available as well as traffic information or events of the local political life. But even interactive surfaces can be created for each programme with the help of this system.
Since the beginning significant technical developments have been carried out, in 2001 we established the largest information system at that time of the Hungarian local televisions.
At present we possess 3 DVCAM cameras (and several hand-cameras) and 5 digital follow-up work stations (Avid XPress DV and DVision). We are able to receive and present videos of VHS, S-VHS, U-matic, BetaCAM/SP, Hi8, Digital 8, DV, DVCAM technology and DVD-discs. The vast majority of the broadcast materials (from news to films) are transmitted from a digital data carrier with the help of a computer and a central background memory.
Practically, this way any finished material can be broadcast within 1 minute.
